Gregg Marshall, head coach Wichita State University, brings you a complete point guard workout that will challenge your floor leaders to make plays for their teammates and for themselves. Using shooting drills, defense drills, screening drills, ball handling drills, and passing drills, Coach Marshall delivers a comprehensive workout designed to eliminate your point guard’s weaknesses. Recorded during a live Shocker workout, Marshall offers insights and narrative into the details of each drill.

On the offensive end of the court, the point guard has the most responsibility and must be prepared for any situation. Marshall shows a rigorous ball handling routine using cone dribbling drills to develop and challenge guards. With each drill, players will master essential techniques and learn how to attack their defender using quick, decisive movements.

You will see shooting drills that can simulate shots you take in your offensive system. With each shooting action, your players will develop timing, learn how to set proper screens, move without the basketball and how to finish around the rim in traffic. Feeding the post is another key area to work on as you develop the point guard position. Marshall includes great drills for feeding the post.

Teach your point guards how to read flat screens in the open court to get to the rim and create scoring opportunities for your team at the end of a game. Learn a challenging full court drill where point guards have to learn how to score on a defender in the open court as they play continuous 1-on-1-on-1 full court.

Your point guards are extensions of you on the floor and they need to be skilled leaders who have the ability to create scoring opportunities for your team. Coach Marshall’s point guard workout will increase your players basketball and leadership IQ, so your team can move to the next level.
